This Privacy Notice applies to Kedrion Biopharma Inc. and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“Kedrion Biopharma,” “we,” “our” or “us”). We understand the importance of the security of your private information, and we take the protection of any information which could identify you directly or indirectly (“Personal Data”) seriously.  This privacy notice (“Privacy Notice”) describes how we collect, receive, use, store, share, transfer, and process your Personal Data, as well as your rights in determining what we do with your Personal Data.  Kedrion Biopharma adheres to applicable privacy laws and regulations in the areas in which we do business.  This Privacy Notice describes our general practices, but where local laws or regulations require that we process your Personal Data differently, we comply with those local laws. Use of Cookies
We use cookies and other technologies to improve user experiences, including customization of content.  Cookies are small text file identifiers that are sent to your web browser and stored on your computer’s hard drive.  Cookies allow the Website to remember your computer on return visits.  This is particularly important for websites that require you to sign in, as it speeds up your access. We may use both session cookies that are deleted when you close your web browser and persistent cookies that may be used by the Website on subsequent visits.  When you use our Website, we automatically receive the name of your internet service provider, the websites that you used prior to visiting our Website, the websites that you visit after leaving our Website and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address.  This information is not linked to your Personal Data.

Collection and Use of Personal Data
The types of Personal Data we collect depends on who you are your interactions with us.  You can choose to not provide Personal Data when asked for it, but it may restrict our ability to provide you with services you may have requested. HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND BUSINESS CUSTOMER DATA

We may process health care provider, customer, supplier or other business contacts names, email addresses, phone numbers, job titles, company information, including website address, postal address, company financial information, IP address, device type, email view information including IP address and associated city, information about which of our products they may work with or be interested in, and any comments that they provide.  With consent, we may also process photographs, images, and videos of health care providers, employees, patients, donors, and speakers for events.  Kedrion Biopharma maintains and updates this information, and uses it based on our legitimate business interests for the following purposes:

 

  • Manage a relationship with you and connect with you based on the legitimate business interest in retaining you as a customer, supplier, or healthcare professional
  • To provide additional services you may request and respond to reasonable requests for information
  • To better understand the needs of the health communities we service, analyzing our interactions with you online and offline
  • To determine whether, when, and the IP address and associated city of an email we sent was viewed based on our legitimate interest to effectively manage and improve upon such communications with you
  • To manage our public relations, legal, financial, policy, regulatory and compliance responsibilities and obligations

 

JOB APPLICANT, EMPLOOYEE AND CONTRACTOR DATA

Responding to a job posting on our Website submits your information to Kedrion Biopharma, and we will process your Personal Data as permitted under this Privacy Notice. Additionally, we may engage service providers to conduct background checks that involve Personal Data processing as permitted by the laws in the location in which you reside and are applying for a position (where we may provide you with supplemental privacy notices and obtain consent where necessary to ensure compliance with local requirements).  If you have a contract or agreement in place with us or are applying for a job, we process your Personal Data to fulfill our obligations to you under that contract or potential contract such as payment of fees, assessing your qualifications as a potential employee, or managing performance obligations under contracts, where applicable. We have a legal basis to process your Personal Data to establish, manage and maintain our relationship and responsibilities to you and effectively operate our business as such to recruit new talent, onboard employees and contractors, grant and ensure appropriate access to our systems and facilities, and ensure workplace and asset security and safety.

 

PATIENT DATA

If you are a patient or research participant, we may process your Personal Data, including safety events or information, which may be provided by you or your healthcare provider, so that we can better understand and assess the safety and effectiveness of our products, as well as for regulatory purposes and scientific publications.  This information includes but is not limited to your name or an ID code, gender, age, race, date of birth, and health data (“Sensitive Personal Data”).  We process this Sensitive Personal Data for the purposes described above and comply with legal obligations to which we are subject as a biopharmaceutical manufacturer performing a task carried out in the public interest.

 

Disclosure of Personal Information
Our site may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by Kedrion Biopharma.  We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices employed by other sites.  This Privacy Notice only applies to information collected by us and does not apply to any information collected by any third party.

 

Kedrion does not sell or rent your Personal Data to unauthorized third parties. We may retain third party vendors to assist us to perform services such as storing data, managing communications and administering the Website.  We engage a third-party service to collect and analyze data about your visit to our Website to improve navigation and understand our Website usage patterns.  We also contract with email service providers to send information you request on our Website and utilize a customer relationship management system to store your contact information.  We contract with a third-party to manage some of our websites.

 

Such third-parties may be provided with access to your Personal Data to perform obligations on our behalf or comply with applicable laws and regulations, but for no other purpose.  We may share your personal information with another company in connection with the sale or transfer of one of our product lines, business units or affiliates to that company.  We may also share your Personal Data if we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to comply with applicable laws, respond to a legitimate request from law enforcement or other government body, to protect our interests or the health and safety of others, or to enforce our Terms of Use for this Website. Where we Store and Process Your Personal Data

Kedrion Biopharma uses reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your Personal Data from manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons, considering the risks involved and the nature of the Personal Data.  Any Personal Data that you provide to us will be encrypted in transit to prevent its possible misuse by third parties. Our security procedures are continuously revised based on new technological developments.  Despite our best efforts, due to the nature of Internet communications, we cannot guarantee that such communications are 100% secure or error-free and disclaim that the information you provide us will remain free from theft, loss, or unauthorized access or use by third parties.  You are responsible for maintaining the privacy of your own passwords and other special access numbers you might use to access the Website.
